You do not need anything more than a personal computer with Internet access. IF you do not have an FTP program installed, no need to worry there are plenty of free ones out there or you can use the built-in FTP program available in the web-base administration tool.

Our Linux plans come pre-configured with mySQL and mSQL.

Will I have unlimited access to my site for updates?

Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your website any time you wish.

Can additional domains be pointed to my main domain?

Yes. We can alias (park) additional domains to point to the same main page as your master domain and it will also share the same mail system. There is a one-time set-up fee and a yealy fee for a domain you add as an alias.

Do you handle Foreign Domain Name Registrations?

We can house any valid domain from other countries. Domain Name registration must be handled through a Registrar, asks us about free domain name registration (Registrar fee’s apply).  In Our Online Resources we provide you with linking to most registration services around the world.

What about accepting credit cards, can I do it securely?

Our entire selection of web hosting plans comes with complimentary use of our shared SSL certificates; it allows Shared Hosting plans to share an SSL certificate on the server. The shared SSL certificate does not use your domain. The server hostname is used in your domain’s place to allow an SSL connection without purchasing an SSL. To learn more please see this article.

Do you offer any pre-configured CGI-scripts?

You can choose what you need in regards to scripts in your cgi-bin. Softaculous comes with all of our shared servers. Softaculous provides an easy way for you to install programs on your server. We backup your web directory daily on to our tape backup machines. Additionally, through Admin Panel you have the option to compress and backup your web files directly.  We highly recommend that you maintain a current copy of your website offline at all times.

Can I access my domain without the “www” in front?

Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the “www” in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

How long does it take to set-up a new account?

New accounts are set-up within 4-12 hrs from the time we receive your order. Once your account is set-up, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new website. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification

Can I compile programs written in C and C++?

Yes, if the account you choose includes SSH/SSH access. The standard gcc compiler is used.
